
Our Process — How Salt to Summit Construction & Renovation Works
At Salt to Summit, we believe that quality craftsmanship starts with a clear, organized process. From our first phone call to the final walkthrough, we guide each project with professionalism and transparency so you know exactly what to expect—and when. Here’s how we bring your vision to life.
Step 1 • Initial Contact & Ballpark Estimate
Once you reach out by phone, form, or email, our goal is to get on a call within 24–48 hours. During that conversation we’ll gather your project outline, understand your budget framework, and give you a free ballpark estimate on the spot. If your vision and budget align, we’ll schedule the on-site consultation.


Step 2 • On-Site Consultation & Scoping
We arrive ready to listen and document. At your home we’ll take measurements, 3D scans, and photos. We’ll talk finishes, timelines, and your expectations in depth—ensuring nothing is left undefined. A consultation fee applies, which will be credited if you move forward.
Step 3 • Proposal & Agreement
With detailed data in hand, we consult our subs and material suppliers to build a full scope of work: materials, allowances, labor, timeline, and payment schedule. We present your proposal via email so you can review each line and request changes. Once approved, we sign the agreement, collect the 50 % deposit, begin permits and ordering, and set your project schedule.


Step 4 • Project Execution
Your project runs through our project-management system to keep it on track. We lock in subcontractors with professional agreements and oversee the site at least once a week (sometimes more frequently for key trades). We maintain an open line of communication with you and our team to handle timing, coordination, and any adjustments.
Step 5 • Managing Changes & Quality Assurance
Unexpected conditions? It happens. When changes arise, we issue a change order for your review and continue only once you’ve approved the updated scope and cost. At the end of each major trade we conduct a step-by-step walkthrough so we catch issues early and ensure everything meets your standard before moving on.


Step 6 • Final Walkthrough, Warranty & Follow-Up
When construction concludes, we perform a detailed final inspection and invite you to review the finished work. We issue our warranty sheet and final documentation, collect the final payment, and then stay in contact: we’ll follow up 30 days and again at 90 days to make sure everything is still performing as promised.
